Ambedkar Nagar : Scrutiny of nomination papers took place in the Collectorate on Tuesday. In the scrutiny of nomination papers which took place amid the hustle and bustle, the nomination papers of eight candidates including SP, BJP and BSP were found to be valid while the nomination papers of eight were rejected.
The work of scrutiny of nomination papers for the election of local Ambedkar Nagar parliamentary seat was completed. Nomination papers were submitted from May 6 to Monday. Till Monday, a total of 16 candidates had filed nomination papers in which SP, BSP and BJP had filed nomination papers in four sets each and the Native Party had filed nomination papers in two sets.
On Tuesday, the process of scrutiny of nomination papers started in the chamber of the District Magistrate Court. The work of scrutiny of nomination papers was completed late in the evening. Withdrawal of nominations will take place on May 9 from 11 am to 3 pm.
SP's Lalji Verma, BJP's Ritesh Pandey, BSP's Qamar Hayat, Kisan Party Loktantrik candidate Akhilesh Kumar, Independent Arvind Lall, Independent Amarjeet Yadav, Lok Party candidate Fatte Bahadur, Bahujan Mukti Party's Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, Vivek Kumar, Native Community A total of 16 people have filed their nominations including party candidate Neelam Singh, Partnership Party candidate Ramnaresh, Fundamental Rights Party candidate Rambujh, Peace Party candidate Shabana Khatoon.
