Businessman shot dead in money transaction

 



Ambedkar Nagar :  A transport businessman was slapped and shot dead near Sangiya Narayanpur village of Bewana police station area on Friday night over a dispute over money transaction. The incident came to light when his blood soaked body was found on Saturday morning. The police acted swiftly and arrested the main accused and his three associates and exposed the crime within 24 hours.


Superintendent of Police Dr. Kaustubh told that Vinod Upadhyay, resident of Baskhari Marg of Akbarpur Kotwali, was originally a resident of Usmapur village of Malipur police station. Apart from the transport business, he also gave money to people on interest. Vinod had given money on interest to Sunil Yadav, resident of Varandpur Lohra of Mahrua police station, which he was not returning. There was a dispute going on between the two regarding this.



Vinod had gone to Sunil on Friday night to collect his money. Near Sangiya Narayanpur village of Bewana police station, Sunil was standing with his friends Anoop Yadav of Horilpur village of Bewana, Ravi Yadav, resident of Songaon of Akbarpur Kotwali, Yashwant Yadav and Dilip Yadav, residents of Varandpur Lohra of Mahrua. As soon as Vinod arrived, Sunil and his associates attacked him with a chapapad.


Later Sunil fired twice from the pistol at Vinod. One fire was missed. The second bullet hit Vinod's head. The attackers escaped after committing the crime. Police arrested Sunil, Yashwant, Anup and Ravi Yadav and recovered pistol and chapad. Search is on for Dilip.


According to nephew Vijay, his uncle Vinod had come to his village Usmapur late on Friday evening. From there he called Sunil Yadav. There was also an argument between the two regarding money transactions. After this Vinod called his nephew Vijay and informed him about the incident. He had said that he was going to Sunil to get his money. If any untoward incident happens to them, Sunil will be responsible for it.


Vijay told that he last spoke to his uncle on phone at 11:45 pm. When he called his uncle at 11:50, the call was not received. No response was received even after calling several times. When uncle did not reach home till morning, he took his bike and set out to search towards Varandpur Lohra village. His uncle's blood soaked body was found lying on the road about a kilometer before the village. Two cartridges were also lying near the dead body.
