Ambedkar Nagar : The continuous heavy rains have now started wreaking havoc. A girl was seriously injured after a kutcha house collapsed in Gosai Ka Pura of Mahrua police station area. On the other hand, due to rain, problem of waterlogging arose at many places. Many major intersections were transformed into reservoirs. Due to this, people faced widespread difficulties in transportation.



The heavy rain that started on Saturday afternoon continued almost the entire night. It rained intermittently during the day on Sunday also. Meanwhile, on Saturday night, the wall of the kutcha house of Premnath Vishwakarma, a resident of Majra Goshai of Jaitupur village Panyat of Mahrua police station area, collapsed. Due to this, his daughter Sandhya (19), who was sleeping there, got hit by the debris. By the time she was pulled from the debris, she was seriously injured. After treatment at CHC Bhiti, he was admitted to the district hospital when his condition became serious.


Similarly, a kutcha wall collapsed in Wajidpur of Jalalpur tehsil area. However, there were no casualties. Three trees collapsed in Kotupur and surrounding areas of Tanda tehsil area. Apart from this, cases of falling of trees and tin sheds were also reported in many areas of the district.



Heavy rains since Saturday afternoon created a major problem of waterlogging in Akbarpur city as well as many other areas of the district. A Gauhanna intersection, one of the busiest intersections in Akbarpur city, was completely transformed into a reservoir. Due to this, passengers going to Lucknow, Delhi, Kanpur had to pass through water to board the bus.


Hajpura intersection, Saidapur intersection, Ganja intersection were also completely transformed into reservoirs. Due to this, people had to face many difficulties in commuting in the area. Jalalpur power substation complex was flooded. Due to this, consumers who came for various types of work had to face difficulties.


People had to face problems due to water logging in Baskhari vegetable market, while in Kotupur village, about ten bighas of paddy crop around the pond was completely submerged. Similarly, the bus station complex located in Tanda Nagar also turned into a reservoir due to rain, due to which the passengers reaching here had to face difficulties.


He was forced to stop on the road and wait for the bus. Apart from this, traffic remained disrupted due to water logging in the locality of Naipura. Secunderabad and fire station also remained in the grip of waterlogging. People faced problems in transportation due to waterlogging in many other areas including Bhiti, Kedarnagar.
