Ambedkar Nagar. By fraud, the son withdrew Rs 54 lakh from the account of his father, a retired policeman. Based on the father's complaint, the police have registered a case under various sections against the son, daughter-in-law and a grandson and started investigation.
Hari Prasad Singh, a resident of Singhoria, entire police station area, gave a complaint to the police and said that he had retired in the year 2005 while working as a head inspector in the police department. After retirement, he lived in Singhoria with his elder son Umesh.
Two years ago his health deteriorated significantly. His son Umesh was getting his treatment. Due to lack of rest, he had to go to Delhi for treatment. His younger son Sanjay Singh and daughter-in-law Seema Singh, who were living there, took him to their room.
It is alleged that apart from the son and daughter-in-law, grandson Krishna Singh started withdrawing pension from the account in the name of treatment. After getting rest, all three brought him to the village and got the farm sold in the name of getting medicine. After this, Rs 54 lakh deposited in the account was also withdrawn fraudulently.
On April 4, when he reached Bank of Baroda branch Rafiganj to withdraw money for medicines, the manager told him that the entire amount from his account had been withdrawn. He became unconscious on the spot due to shock. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against the three accused under sections of fraud etc.
