Ambedkar Nagar : The nomination process for the Lok Sabha elections will start from Monday, April 29. Despite no nomination of any candidate from the major party on the first day, the administration has made tight security arrangements. A total of 12 barriers have been installed in the Collectorate and surrounding areas. Police and administrative officials will keep vigil here all the time.
Now the process of nomination for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections is going to start. According to the decision of the Election Commission, according to the program issued by the district administration recently, nomination papers can be filed from April 29. With this, the process of purchasing nomination papers will start from Monday itself.
Nominations can be made by the candidates till May 6. Meanwhile, the administration has completed all preparations to conduct the nomination process in a better way. Barriers have been installed at a total of eight places including Police Line near the Collectorate, Lohia Bhawan, Devansh Petrol Pump, Patel Nagar, near BSP office turn and CDO residence. People will be allowed entry through these barriers only after intensive investigation. The vehicles of the candidates will be stopped at three separate barriers built 100 meters away, just near the Collectorate.
DM Avinash Singh said that any candidate can go to these three barriers with three vehicles and five proposers. After this, they will have to reach the District Election Officer's room located at the Collectorate on foot for nomination. SP Dr. Kaustubh said that in view of the nomination, strict security arrangements have been made.
Videography is being done with CCTV cameras. ASP Western Vishal Pandey said that a total of three SDMs and three COs along with eight SOs and one platoon PAC will be present at the enrollment site and surrounding areas. Apart from this, many inspectors and constables have also been deployed.
