Former District President Amit left Congress and joined BSP



Ambedkar Nagar : Former District President Amit Verma, who resigned from the Congress Party, took membership of BSP in Katehari on Tuesday. Sandeep Jaiswal, who had contested the election of District Panchayat member from Bhiti, also joined the BSP. It is reported that Amit had left Congress only after discussing the ticket with BSP.



BSP state president Vishwanath Pal, the chief guest of the program organized at a marriage hall in Katehri, while giving membership, said that Katehri assembly seat has been traditional for BSP. Whoever the party chief gives her ticket to in the upcoming by-election will win from here with a huge margin. Former minister Dharamveer Singh Ashok, who was presiding, said that only through Katehari by-election, BSP will again realize its strength here.


Former MLC and divisional in-charge Dr. Vijay Pratap, while reviewing the district and assembly constituency committee, unanimously handed over the responsibility to some new officials. Earlier, Amit alias Jitendra Verma, who joined BSP, said that no other party could do what BSP has done for this district.
