Ambedkar Nagar : In Iltifatganj Nagar Panchayat area, a case of attempt to rape a teenage girl has come to light by the councilor representative by luring her with the benefit of self-funding scheme. The victim's mother has filed a case against the accused in Ibrahimpur police station.
A woman living in Iltifatganj alleges that Arvind Singh, the councilor representative of a ward of Nagar Panchayat, used to visit her house. Arvind lured him to get a loan of Rs 25 thousand from the Prime Minister Swanidhi Yojana. On his way home, the accused got his daughter's number and started sending her obscene videos.
Recently, after asking her to send OTP on her mobile, the councilor called her daughter to a secluded place in the ward and started showing obscene videos. He tried to rape the girl. The victim somehow escaped from his clutches and came home and narrated her ordeal.
After which she took the victim to the police station and filed a complaint against the council representative. Police station head Ibrahimpur Sandeep Kumar Rai said that a case has been registered against the council representative under the POCSO Act. The victim has been sent for medical examination.
Assembly representative Arvind Singh says that all the allegations are baseless. My political opponents, who are hurt by the previous assembly elections, are trying to defame me under a conspiracy. The truth will come out in the police investigation.
