Ambedkar Nagar : Now with one click the criminal details of the entire village will appear on the computer screen. For this, every important information related to the village is being uploaded on the Panchayat Development Index (PDI) portal.
The format of criminal information has been included this year. The responsibility of monitoring this work at the block level has been entrusted to the BDO. Panchayat Development Index can be used for Panchayati Raj Awards in future.
The Panchayat Development Index (PDI) aims to assess the overall development, performance and progress of Panchayats. PDI aims to encourage Panchayats to adopt innovations to further improve their performance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Panchayat Development Index was collecting information on nine themes, including poverty-free and improved livelihoods, healthy villages, child-accessible villages, water-sufficient villages, clean and green villages, self-reliant infrastructure, socially just and safe villages, Good governance and women friendly villages were included.
Data was being collected on 577 indicators of these departments. This year, the format of crime situation in the village has also been added to the PDI. Under which the number of boys and girls kidnapped or missing from the village, crimes registered under POCSO, cases registered in the respective year, cases of physical abuse of girls, Dowry-related cases, number of women aged 18 to 49 who have been molested by their husbands, rape and murder cases reported throughout the year, number of victims reporting murder, violence and abandonment of the elderly. Information about cases registered against women, incidents of domestic violence against women is to be uploaded on the portal.
