Ambedkar Nagar : A special vaccination campaign will be run from July 15 to protect against deadly diseases like foot and mouth. 23 teams have been formed to meet the target of vaccinating about five and a half lakh animals in the campaign that will run till July 31. Along with this, six ambulances have also been put in alert mode, which can be used in emergency.
During the rainy season, animals are more likely to suffer from fatal diseases like foot and mouth. In view of this, a special vaccination campaign will be run from July 15 on the instructions of the Health Directorate. 23 teams have been formed to make the campaign running till July 31 a success. According to the District Veterinary Officer's office, the three-member team includes Livestock Extension Officer, Paravet and Vaccinator.
The team will go door to door to achieve the target of vaccinating 5 lakh 45 thousand 500 animals. It will not only vaccinate the animals but will also make the cattle owners aware to protect the animals from diseases. Along with this, six ambulances have also been put in alert mode. In case of emergency, the ambulance will reach the animal owner's house and ensure treatment of the animals.
